Base is the scale’s root number. For example, the size at which your design looks best.
Steps are the number of value you want to show. For example, you have the base value and you want the 6th value then just enter 6 in the “Steps” field and it will give you the 6th value.
Grids are the pre-defined ratio that are used to calculate the overall values.
The table here uses 12px (0.75 rem) as the base and 2x grid by default. But, you can always change by your preference.
